Joann is having a 5/$5 Sale on Simplicity patterns so of course I had to browse the books for a few goodies to take home.
The first two patterns are for aprons. There is just something about these pieces, especially vintage styles, that I love. I have been gifting aprons to my friends and coworkers as bridal shower gifts, so I am always eager to build my stash of styles.
#3544 is a Vintage Aprons pattern from 1948/1952. I really like the collar and pocket details of view A.
#D0830 is another Vintage pattern from the 1950s. There are three different views: a full apron with 5 pockets, full apron with 3 pockets, and a half apron.
The other patterns I picked up were various craft patterns (the most dangerous browsing happens in this section – I always find something I like).
#8109 is an adorable kitchen set with pot holders, oven mitts, and a hanging towel that looks like a dress. Another neat option for bridal gifts!
#8532 has patterns for various sewing room accessories. I like the sewing machine cover, as well as the mat. I’m not sure how well the mat would work with my current set up, but nonetheless it looks to be a great functional piece.
And lastly #D0853 has various baby accessories I mainly wanted view H, which is a wrap blanket. I am always looking for more options for baby shower gifts, and items for my Etsy shop The Wittle Whale. While I’ve transitioned away from full time baby work, I cannot resist whipping up baby items. They are so simple, so sweet, and so easy to make.
